According to this, an MoU was signed between Nokia and the Tamil Nadu government to set up a new research and development center with the world’s largest fixed network testing facility at Sirucherry Chipgat with an investment of Rs.450 crores, employing 100 people.
Similarly, an MoU was signed between PayPal and the Government of Tamil Nadu to set up an Advanced Development Center for Artificial Intelligence to provide employment to 1,000 people.
Subsequently, an MoU was signed between Microchip and the Tamil Nadu government to set up a Research and Development Center in Semiconductor Technology in Chennai with an investment of Rs 250 crores to provide employment to 1,500 people.
Through this Chennai Coimbatore, Madurai to create employment opportunities for 4100 people, an agreement was signed for investments of Rs.900 crores.
