Code is currently the most popular Vijay starrer movie. Usually Vijay fans wait for the movies starring Vijay. But as far as Code is concerned, even non-Vijay fans are waiting for that film.
The main reason is that Code is one of Vijay’s last two films. Also, Vijay’s first Science Pixan film is Kodhan. Vijay has never acted in any movie called Science Pixan before this.
Reason under criticism

Venkat Prabhu has shared his experiences of the film Code in an interview. In which he says, we thought of making young Vijay entirely in graphics. But the cost was too high.

First we took footage from the movie Mersel for a test run and saw if we could age Vijay’s face in it. It worked well and then we talked to Vijay about it. Vijay was also very interested in it.

For this, the company said that Vijay’s full face should be scanned. Also, during the scan, they said that Vijay should not have any hair on his face, so his mustache and beard should be completely saved.
That’s why Vijay came for that scan after shaving. After that, he had to shave and act in the youthful Vijay look. And attended many events with that look. So he came under a lot of criticism.
