Jaffna. President – oneindias meets the media

President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that he accepts the need to provide a solution to the ethnic problem and emphasized that all Sri Lankans should unite with the program of building the country without ethnic and religious differences.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited the Udayan workshop in Jaffna yesterday (03) afternoon and met with its staff and other journalists.

On this occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of Udayan Journalism Workshop, Member of Parliament E. Saravanabhavan, Editor-in-Chief Dr. Prabhakaran welcomed the President.

The President then interacted with the media and gave positive answers to their questions.

He said that the first issue was to recover the country from the state of bankruptcy and as it was able to bring that issue to a close last June, now they are thinking about providing solutions to other issues.

During the tours conducted in Jaffna in the past few days, the youth mostly made demands related to job opportunities. So he said that there is no difference in the expectations of the youth in the north and the south.

The President stated that his expectation is to strengthen the provincial councils and create wide opportunities for the development of the respective provinces and assured that the central government will provide assistance to all the provinces.
