The wild elephants at Kinnia Vattamadu are spectacular

For the past two days, wild elephants have been rampaging in Vattamadu resettlement area in Kinnia’s oil village officer division.

Residents of the area said that wild elephants have entered the area and damaged houses and useful trees in the early hours of yesterday Monday and yesterday Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a rice mill, a house and coconut trees have been damaged by wild elephants.

In this case, 14 coconut trees have been damaged by elephants. Also, a part of the agricultural work in the said village has also been damaged by elephants.

The villagers of Vattamadu Resettlement have requested that the problem of wild elephants is continuously seen in this village where about 117 families live and therefore the relevant authorities should take action to control the problem of wild elephants.
