As the academic year 2024-25 has started in Tamil Nadu, a calendar has been published for the benefit of students and teachers. It stated that working days for a year are 220 days. Usually only 210 working days. But in the current academic year, additional working days have increased the burden among students and teachers.
Saturday is a school day
That is, schools function on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. In this regard, the teachers’ unions made demands to the school education department. Even last month an extra working day was given off. In this case, the days are running fast since I was born in August.

Tomorrow is the 2nd Saturday. So it is a working day as per school education calendar. In this case, in the circular issued by the Principal Education Officer, Chennai, the 2nd Saturday and 4th Saturday of August were declared as school working day in the calendar of the academic year 2024-25.

Currently this school workday has been cancelled. It is addressed to Headmasters and Headmasters of all types of Primary, Middle, High, Secondary schools. This circular has been sent to Chennai Corporation Education Officer, Primary Education District Education Officer, Intermediate District Education Officers, Private Schools District Education Officers etc.
SMC Restructuring Meeting
Similarly, in the circular sent by the District Principal Education Officer, Trichy, the headmasters are requested to hold the SMC restructuring meeting on 10.08.2024. Also, the time table of the first intermediate examination scheduled to be held tomorrow is being changed.
Students are happy
Accordingly, the first intermediate examination will be held on 14.08.2024 for classes 6 to 10 and on 19.08.2024 for classes 11 and 12. Similarly, in other districts, 2nd and 4th Saturday of August has been declared as a holiday. This has made the students happy.
